What: The Central Park Go Festival is a celebration and promotion of the ancient game of Go. The festival will include tournaments, workshops, lectures, and hands-on experiences for attendees, aiming to provide a comprehensive and engaging experience for Go enthusiasts of all levels.
When: September 15, 2024 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Where: SummerStage, Central Park, New York City.
Why: The festival seeks to increase awareness and interest in Go among the general public, foster community engagement among Go players and enthusiasts, highlight the cultural significance and heritage of Go, and provide educational opportunities for new players through workshops and tutorials.
Who: The festival is open to Go players of all skill levels, families and individuals interested in board games, students and educators, and tourists and locals looking for cultural activities.
Tournament: All ages and levels welcome. Only 150 seats are available. Please register to reserve your seat.
